Meet the Team

Howard, Owner

Howard Mock is the Owner/Operator of Rhapsody Music. Driven by the desire to improve the Mankato music scene, he opened the store in 1985. He performs with groups such as Sandra Lee and The Velvets and Powerhouse around Mankato and Southern Minnesota.

Steve, Sales & Head of Used Department

Steve! Resident retired guy, loves to talk guitars!!! Steve has a die hard passion for the guitar world. He is well versed and knowledgeable of the wide variety of brands and history of the many guitars out there.

SP, Repair Tech & Sales

SP (Steve) is one of our repair and sales staff. You can catch him fixing guitars, basses, and more in the back, or fixing a PT Cruiser in his spare time.

David, Manager

David is a music student at Minnesota State who has a heavy interest in all things guitar and audio. When not working the sales floor David can be found making his own pedals and modifying his guitars. David sings and plays both guitar and bass in several college ensembles.

Chuck, Amp/Electronics Repair

Chuck is our resident amp technician and has a background in electronics and has experience teaching electrical engineering classes at MSU for many years. If your amp or PA gear is acting up Chuck is your guy! If he can't fix it no one can.

Braeden, Sales

Braeden is one of our staff members. He is a multi-instrumentalist of over 16 years. He is an audio engineer as well as a music instructor. He plays bass guitar for the Nightingale Band, a rock group local to Mankato!

Bella, Sales

Bella is another one of our sales staff members. She plays multiple different instruments, focusing on piano/synthesizer and guitar. In her free time, Bella can be found spending her time rehearsing with Govenaires Drum & Bugle Corps and River City Rhythm Indoor Percussion.

Luke, Sales

Luke is also one of our instructors at Rhapsody. He teaches guitar, bass, piano, and ukulele. Luke is a folk singer-songwriter, plays bass in Soul Folk Union, guitar in Lady Mercury, and performs hip-hop as Late Night Luke. He has a degree in music industry from MSU.
